This is my first post in a new mini travel series I am doing for (drum roll...) Austin, TX! Since it is one of my favorite cities, I couldn't fit all of my favorite restaurants, activities and tips into just one post so it will be broken down into a few over the next few months. I started visiting Austin three years ago to visit my boyfriend who goes to The University of Texas at Austin and ever since then we try to find new and unique date spots for each time I'm in town! Since I'm the one in Austin this summer and my guy is in Dallas, I've gotten to do some research on restaurants since he'll be the one visiting me in Austin! I've made quite the list of places to check off my bucket list of restaurants but I've compiled a lengthy list of favorites that we've tested out over the past few years. Ranging from brunch to late night desserts, here are a few of my favorite date spots in Austin (in no particular order)! Please feel free to comment any suggestions for restaurants to add to this list, I love trying new places!Read More
Hi there, friends!
Happy Fall! It's finally October and the weather is OH so lovely! I do believe that this time of the year is among many people's favorites, including mine! I got to travel back to Texas this weekend to visit my sweet boy in Austin and I have returned back to Mississippi now feeling refreshed and with a full heart. On Saturday, we went out to the cutest pumpkin patch (because HELLO! It's October now!!) and had just the best day and best weather! The pumpkin patch was called Barton Hills Farm, so if you live around the Austin area I would definitely recommend checking it out because they have so many fun things to do on the grounds, like going through the corn maze and eating caramel apple blossoms!
As fall starts and the leaves start to change color and the air turns cooler, it reminds me to step back and enjoy each moment because this year is already flying by! Lately, I've learned that there is no bigger truth and lesson learned than to appreciate the people in your life and to never take a day for granted because life can change in a blink of an eye. I encourage you to hug your loved ones a little tighter and to enjoy their presence during this fun time of the year. I know I'm getting wordy in this post but thanks for bearing with me, a little life update or happy thought can be nice every once in a while!
P.S. I would love if you shared with me any life updates/ happy thoughts in the comments below! Also, outfit details are linked at the bottom of the post!

Fall is in the air and (hopefully) cooler weather will be arriving soon! Sweaters, bon fires, cuddles, smore's, colored leaves, football, and pumpkins...I can hardly wait! I love when the seasons change. In the spirit of fall and all things pumpkin flavored, I made this absolutely scrumptious pumpkin chocolate chip bundt cake! It is dangerously good and tastes like fall! Do you have any favorite dishes to make for the fall season? Share with me in the comments some of your favorites! I hope you enjoy this!
P.S. I have the recipe details at the bottom of the post!

- Let cake cool for 10 minutes then remove from the pan.
- To prepare the icing, beat the cream cheese, butter and 2 tbls of pumpkin together until smooth. Add milk and cinnamon and gradually beat in powdered sugar. Drizzle icing over warm cake.

Merry Christmas in July, friends! Now, this may seem a little silly BUT I am a Christmas fanatic and waiting to celebrate only once a year just doesn't seem enough! I started celebrating Christmas in July at camp several years ago and have loved the tradition so much that I insist upon continuing it every year! This is the first year that I am not with my siblings to celebrate it so I got a few of my friends to join in with me and celebrate Christmas in July! We don't do presents, or a tree, or cause a big fuss. The normal tradition is to decorate cookies while listening to Christmas music and then watch a marathon of the best Christmas movies (Elf, Home Alone, White Christmas, Polar Express, and It's a Wonderful Life) while drinking hot cocoa! It is so much fun and gives me an excuse to listen to Micheal Bublè's holiday album 5 months early! These happen to be my favorite Christmas PJ's but unfortunately they are no longer available at Victoria Secret, butttt they just released new ones that I have linked at the bottom of the post and they are way TOO cute! I wanted to share with you my little tradition so that maybe it inspires you to celebrate it too because who doesn't love the holidays?!
Earlier this year, I found out that I would have a summer abroad studying in Florence, Italy for two weeks in May. I had been dreaming of going on this trip since freshman year of college. I even took Italian as my language course earlier in school in hopes of eventually going on this trip and being able to understand the natives! Well, the trip was everything that I had dreamed it would be and more! Naturally, I shopped for MONTHS leading up to the trip in search of the perfect outfits to wear while in Italy. I learned so much about the culture and history of this magnificent country and have nothing but the best memories of it! I've shared a few pictures here from my trip, hope you enjoy!
